Why I Write Under My Real Name

Since I rejoined Medium exactly a month ago, I noticed one thing. I noticed that many writers here write under a nom de plume. I don’t begrudge those who choose to keep their personal names private. After all, the Internet can be a scary place and you never know who could be reading your articles. These days it is too easy to get information about someone through a simple Google search.
