Previously on Medium, I wrote about how I refused to identify as a Korean-American. Even though my white American father and my Korean mother were the ones who gave me that racial identity in more ways than one, I ended up rejecting it. The reason why I rejected this identity was that it did not fully describe who I was, ethnically.
